Rick Passek has been flyfishing since he was 6 years old. With close to 50 years flyfishing, he has seen everything and is well rounded as a flyfisher. Rick is the Author of two FlyFishing Books (The Freshman FlyFisher & The Freshman FlyFishers Insect Guide). Rick has learned from may of the best Fly Fishers and Tyers around and takes insperation from many of the greats.

Ricks Tying inspirations come from around the world with special focus on patterns from BC & Alberta Canada, The UK, France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain, Western USA and South Africa.

Rick’s speciality for tying are River & Lake flies, Salmon & Steelhead and Tropical Big game flies. Rick uses only the best materials, Beads AND Hooks. All flies are tied on top quality HENDS and Ahrex hooks.

The FlyFish Fanatic only ties SMALL batch orders, no resorts or mass orders PLEASE.

Small batch orders are up to 4 dozen, all orders (Larger or small) will be placed in the cue for completion.

Rick ties year round, but during April, May, June, September & October orders may take a bit longer as he is also out fishing and testing new patterns. Orders can take up to 4 weeks to complete (plus shipping time) depending on back orders. You will be informed at checkout what the current wait time for orders is.
